
What is Personal Training?
Personal Training is the science of instructing an individual how to use their body correctly and efficiently in every action they execute. Personal training allows Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre members or non-members to work with an exercise professional in order to maximize their individual potential.

Fitness Re-Assessment & Program Re-Design
After several weeks of training, re-assessment is a great way to monitor fitness improvements. Depending on results the program can be adjusted to your new fitness needs.
Option #1: Re-assessment (1 hr)
Option #2: Re-assessment and orientation to new program (1.5 hrs)

About our Personal Trainers
The UPEI Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre offers trainers from different backgrounds with a variety of skills & ideas to make your program unique! All trainers have a national certification &/or a degree in Kinesiology and have experience in developing fitness training programs.
Personal Training and Assessment Policies & Procedures
1. Only UPEI personal trainers are permitted to assess or train individuals and athletes in the UPEI Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
Any other trainers who act in the capacity of a personal trainer are not permitted. This includes regular or repetitive meetings, one-one-one instruction, exercise prescription, modification, technique instruction and any job function typically associated with personal training or working with members of the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
2. Payments
Payments are to be made at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre Front Desk. All prices add gst. Payments may be by cash, cheque, debit, visa or mastercard. Payments due on day of appointment. For team training and higher session packages, invoices will be sent by the Accounting Department.
3. Appointment Cancellation
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to reschedule session. If the cancellation is less than 24 hours the appointment will not be reimbursed/re-scheduled.
The trainer is required to wait 15 minutes for the client to show up for the scheduled appointment. If the client fails to show up for the schedule appointment, the appointment iand fee(s) will be forfeited. If the client is late for the appointment the trainer is not obligated to make up the missed time. For example, if the client is 15 minutes late and arrives for the appointment the session will only be 45 minute.

No refunds will be issued for services purchased.
